Get' em While You Can

In Pennsylvania it is illegal to smoke in most indoor public places. An interesting take on the fairly new law by some was that people have the right to smoke wherever they want and bars jumped on that bandwagon because no smoking generally means fewer patrons. I got a laugh out of this and took the shot to preserve it for prosperity. Maybe someday my grandchildren will think that it was ludicrous that people were once permitted to smoke while others were trying to eat.

Very interesting!! I am a none smoker after a successfully stopping a year ago (for the 3rd time) but this time forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! An interesting concept!!

Well spotted. We got the smoking ban come in over here, and all bars are smoke free. I for one just can't imagine why anyone would head of to a party to breathe in noxious fumes all night.... but each to their own I guess.

That would just never fly here with our regulations, but there are certainly a lot of people who would love a night such as this.

I remember the days of coming home from bars, clubs, pubs and eateries with my clothes stinking of secondary smoke, and my lungs choking for days. I also grew up as a child with my parents and sister smoking in the house and car, from which I could not escape.

That was the best advert for not smoking that I ever saw. My parents eventually quit, but so strong is the drug, my sister smoked through three pregnancies and my mum still will not entertain any connection between cancer and smoking. A nurse who I know explained to me that smoking is actually harder to quit than heroine!

It's a debate that will rage between smokers and non smokers forever, and I'm sure you can guess which side of the fence I sit.... ha ha. Since the ban over this side of the pond, my lungs and clothes have sighed with relief

Ha, great find. I am a smoker I'm afraid but I never agreed with smoking in places where people were eating. There's a pretty much total ban here in the UK for any indoor area. What I don't understand is that I can't smoke at work when I'm the only one there!! Anyway, well spotted ;O)

I've always thought I have the right to not breathe other peoples' smoke. Smokers, as a group, don't see it that way. I spent a year in Japan where these radical smokers would be in hog heaven. Even there though, steps are being taken to slowly restrict smoking in public places.
