The Harrisburg Waterworks

Posted by
jeff (aka dogilicious) (Millerstown, PA, United States) on 29 April 2009 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

This is part of the Harrisburg Waterworks which, at one time, pumped water out of the Susquehanna River for the city. Got a little gutsy on the walk and went through some open gates and onto the roof of the building to grab this shot. The roof was actually at ground level.

This column appears to have been marked with high water marks from the 19th century.
