After 440 days of consecutive postings I took yesterday off. It made me realize how much I love taking pictures and the discipline it takes to post every day.
The reason I took off was twofold. First, I was not happy with the quality of my recent posts and I really didn't feel as though I was giving back to the community as I once I had. Second, I knew how Call Ripken must have felt when he was going for the consecutive games streak. Now that the pressure to post everyday is off I feel like I can relax and enjoy posting again. I probably will not post everyday but I will post most days because I know I need to in order to get better. I'll also try to be better and viewing others work and commenting.
After my rambling, today's post: Johannes came to the school were I am principal along with several other artists to demonstrate how to make linen from flax. He dressed in clothing made from his one handmade linen. Quite and interesting guy. And a great opportunity to mix my vocation with my avocation. The day was sponsored by the Perry County Council of the Arts.
